Construction Technology Instructor - Wright Technical Center
Wright Technical Center (WTC) in Buffalo, MN, is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Construction Instructor to join our teaching team for the 2025-26 school year. Position Overview: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction techniques, safety protocols, and the technical skills necessary for teaching students the fundamentals of residential construction. As a Construction Technology Instructor, you will engage students in hands-on projects that emphasize the importance of safety in the construction environment. You will guide students through the entire process of home construction, from planning and design to execution, fostering teamwork and problem-solving skills throughout the journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach students the fundamentals of residential construction, including safe practices and technical skills.
- Plan and implement engaging, hands-on projects that encourage active learning.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration among students during projects.
- Guide students through the entire construction process, from design to execution.
- Emphasize safety protocols and procedures in all aspects of construction work.
Qualifications:
- Interested applicants must hold a valid Construction Careers license or demonstrate the ability to obtain one.
- Experience in high school teaching is preferred but not required.
- A strong understanding of construction principles and safety practices is essential.

Paraprofessional Position
The Wright Technical Center – ISD # 966 in Buffalo, MN is seeking a qualified applicant for a Student Paraprofessional Position. WTC is a 7-12 school focusing on CTE and alternative education.
Position Description:
The paraprofessional position will provide academic and behavioral support for all students in mainstream classrooms or in a one-to-one situation in our student support room. This position may also require lunchroom supervision.
Position Qualifications:
1. Possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical attributes necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
2. Demonstrates effective human relations and communication skills.
3. Previous experience in secondary alternative education preferred.
4. Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Apps
Position Responsibilities:
1. Assist student(s) in individual and group settings whether in the resource room or classroom educational setting.
2. Supports Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS) initiatives within the district.
3. Read, follow, and implement components of an Individualized Education Program (IEP), 504 plan or Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP).
4. Collaborate with building administration, licensed teachers, families, students, and others as needed for the purpose of implementing the behavior intervention plans as a team.
5. Supervise students in select classes, lunchroom and the resource room.
6. Other duties as required or assigned.
